Renovating
the pottery studio has been an amazing experience. The cottage had been empty
for 60 years and was in serious disrepair. The roof had caved in, the floor was
full of holes and you could hear the termites chomping!
Robbie Hinson
and his wonderful family took the house apart and built it back with whatever
could be saved. The footprint and the interior configuration are the
same as 65 years ago when Aunt Ethel lived there. It’s now light, bright,
airy and echoes my dedication to humor and Key West colors.
I’ve been
using the studio for three years and the quality of my life has greatly
improved.
